Finally the printed part has arrived... with a small issue, it's bent. Looks like it's bent because the part is narrow and long. Hoping that it bent after printing not while printing, otherwise the dimension will be off... So its time to straighten it back with a handy hair dryer.
I'd say the print result is acceptable as a prototype but looks like it shrunk a bit while printing. I would have to scale up about 5% overall maybe?
One possibly handy thing I noticed while studying the original Smart Cover is that the Pencil stays attched to the side with help of magents embedded in the Smart Cover. I hoped I could make use of it as a feature and it looks like it's working.
Overall test print is a satisfacory and will continue with the current design.
For next step I would have to do some material research for the cover and insert tomorrow.
